Well folks...I did it. I put in an offer on a house, it was shockingly accepted, and I now sit here, awaiting a closing date. It's crazy to think that at the ripe old age of 23, I am a HOMEOWNER. I have those small moments of panic in which I am like "what the heck am I doing??" but more than that, I am excited!! My brother and I are going to live together in my little starter house. The goal is to be moved in before August when I go back to actually working full time. Teaching and summer vacations...they are nice. The house is going to require some (lots) of TLC in order to make it liveable. The lady was a smoker for YEARS so the house smells like one giant cigarette. My plan is to just leave the doors open for several days and hope the air gets to it. New flooring, paint, and all new landscaping are the first things on the agenda. Again...so excited to get started. Now I just need the key to the front door and we will be ready to go. Check back in a few days for some pictures of the house!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!
